SARPS — Semi-Automated Robotic Percussion System
A robotic midi device used in performance that, when programmed, strikes drums much like a synthesizer — a logical extension of Nancarrow and Xenakis's efforts to introduce randomised, algorithmic elements into music.
Motor-Stick (EMS / Vstix)
A small DC motor with a counterbalance attached to a stick, chopstick or flexible rod — oscillating to strike objects in complex orbital paths, producing rhythms and textures outside the framework of traditional musical sound.

SSL — Sonic Systems Laboratory
Dale Gorfinkel and Robbie Avenaim redefine the vibraphone — micro-tonal tuning, additional motors, bows, homemade electronic sticks and battery-operated vibrating objects.

Safe in Sound
An exploratory concert series for persons living with disability and their families and supporters, engaging carers in new methods of stimulation, entertainment and communication.

WHAT IS MUSIC?
Australia's premier annual touring showcase of local and international experimental music, produced, directed and curated by Robbie Avenaim (1994–2011) and Oren Ambarchi (1994–2005).
